The 49ers' opening loss to the Bears doesn't mean they are doomed.
Jaquan Brisker and Kyler Gordon played defensive ends in the Bears' 19-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Gordon finished the game with six tackles, while Brisker recovered a fumble four notches.
Rookie Dominic Robinson played only 28 shots on his debut, but he registered 1.5 sacks, two press-ups, and seven tackles.
The Bears are letting people know how good their rookie defenders are.
The bears’ can keep getting better as a team. It's just the first game. You'll get better.
We're just going to keep building and improving and making sure we're doing the right thing for this team."
Brisker had a strong performance in his preseason debut against the Kansas City Chiefs.
But he suffered a thumb injury that prevented him from playing the rest of the exhibition slate.
When he returned to the field Sunday, he looked like he had never left.
When I first got out there, I was confused. This is my real first game," Brisker said with a laugh.
