People Magazine named actor Chris Evans as the Sexiest man Alive.
“My mom will be so happy,” Evans stated to People in its cover story, which is scheduled to be available on newsstands Friday. “She’s proud of everything I do, but this is something she can really brag about.”
Evans gets the honor from fellow “Avengers” actor Paul Rudd. Other actors from the film series about superheroes to be honored with the award include Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans Hemsworth.
Other past honorees include singers John Legend and Adam Levine and actors Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Richard Gere, Channing Tatum, and the soccer star David Beckham.
“Really this will just be a point of bullying,” Evans joked during an interview. “It’s ripe for harassment.”
Evans, His first appearance on film was in the 2000 film “The New Comers.” He played the superhero Johnny Storm in two “Fantastic Four” films in 2005 and 2007. Then he experienced a significant increase in popularity after his role as Captain America in “Captain America: The First Avenger” in 2011.
Since then, he has played Captain America in 10 Marvel films before leaving the franchise in 2019 following the launch of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Evans also played Buzz Lightyear in Pixar’s “Lightyear” and also played a tragic assassin who tries to murder Reynolds In Nextflix’s “The Gray Man.” Both films came out in 2022.
Evans said to People that he’s considering the possibility of marriage and having children, saying, “That’s absolutely something I want.”
However, he didn’t think he’d be able to speak out regarding his personal life. “Some things you want just for you, or just for my family and my friends.”
The actor has said he hopes to win the Sexiest Man Alive award to become a significant event.
“It’s something that as I become old and saggy I can look back on and say ‘I remember then,'” Evans stated.
“I’m lucky to be in the discussion in any capacity,” he added.
